Gail Whipple is serving her first term as an elected Commissioner District 4 of the Jupiter Inlet District. The Commissioners elected her Secretary/Treasurer in 2021.

Ms. Whipple had a successful career as an executive in the information technology industry, at the IBM Corporation. She retired from IBM and ran her own executive management consulting company, Whipple Associates LLC, thereafter.

She has lived in Jupiter FL for the past 29 years and has been actively involved in community activities during that time. She attended Jupiter Inlet District Board meetings for 5 years before running for a Commissioner position, out of interest in preserving the beach south of the inlet, and ensuring the inlet remained navigable for boaters. She has been a boat owner, sail and power, for over 30 years.

As a Jupiter resident she has been involved in community activities with experience on various volunteer committees and projects at Ocean Trail Condominium, as a Board Member at the Ocean Trail Unit Owners Association and head of the Ocean Trail Beach Committee.  She currently serves as the President of the Board of Ocean Trail Condominium Association No.1, whose owners have elected her to 6 terms over the past 10 years.  Appointed by Vice Mayor of the Town of Jupiter to the Town of Jupiter Beach Committee in 2013-2015, Ms. Whipple was reappointed by the Town Council, 2016-2021. She is also past-Chairman of the committee.  In addition, Ms. Whipple is currently serving as a Board Member and Committee Chair of a boarding school in Massachusetts.
