George G. Gentile
George G. Gentile is serving his 7th term as an elected Commissioner, District 3, of the Jupiter Inlet District. He has been honored by his fellow Commissioners by making him Chairman for calendar year 2021.
Mr. Gentile has practiced as a Landscape Architect and Planner in Palm Beach County for over 44 years. He has worked on numerous public and private projects that have contributed to the quality of life of all the residents of Palm Beach County and South Florida. His planning, site planning and Landscape Architectural Design work can be found thought the County and the State of Florida. His peers recognized him for his professional dedication and contributions by being made as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 1996 and he was chosen as the Landscape Architect of the Year by the Palm Beach County, American Institute of Architects in 2007. He served as President of the Florida Chapter ASLA in 1988 and a National Trustee 1990-1993.
Mr. Gentile is President and Founder of Gentile Glas Holloway O'Mahoney & Associates, Inc.(2GHO) a full-service Landscape Architecture, Planning and Environmental Consulting firm, which was established in 1988 in Jupiter and is dedicated to sustainable and environmentally sensitive planning and design. 2GHO was honored in 2021 by the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce as the first recipient of the Environmental Stewardship Leadership Award.
Mr. Gentile holds registration to practice his profession in Florida and holds a Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards certificate to practice throughout the United States. Mr. Gentile graduated from Palm Beach Junior College in 1973 with and AA degree in Architecture and the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree in 1977. He has been happily married to his wife Jeanette for over 48 years and has 3 sons and 5 grandchildren, all who reside in Palm Beach County.
During his extensive career he has also contributed to the community by his participation in numerous organizations and charities including, Chairman of the Board of the Jupiter Tequesta Juno Beach Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Board of the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce, member of the Palm Beach County Planning Congress, Past President Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County 2019-2021, member of the Economic Council of Palm Beach County, member of the Economic Forum of Palm Beach County and Past Chairman of the Palm Beach State College Foundation. Mr. Gentile is also a member of the USCG Auxiliary and volunteers teaching boating safety. As a Coxswain, he has assisted the United States Coast Guard in search and rescue activities in the northern Palm Beach County AOR.
