James H. Davis
Jim Davis was elected to serve as a Jupiter Inlet District Commissioner for Seat 5 in 2021. His professional career spans over 40 years in the financial services sector, serving as JP Morgan Chase’s Managing Director of Wealth Management Domestic Operations. He is an avid and skilled boater with a love of the outdoors.
In his role as a Commissioner for the Jupiter Inlet District, he has served as the North Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce representative and is currently the District Representative for the Loxahatchee River Preservation Initiative (LRPI). He is an active member of the organization and is focused on maintaining collaborative partnerships that improve the quality of life for residents of Northern Palm Beach County.
Jim is involved with numerous civic and political organizations in Palm Beach County and in his native state of Michigan. Since 2017, he has served as the Palm Beach Republican Executive Committee Precinct Committeeman. Named a Grosse Ile Yacht Club Commodore in 1998, he belongs to the Association of Past Commodores as a member of the International Order of the Blue Gavel. Jim is currently serving a term as the North Palm Beach Yacht Club Vice Commodore, and a Director on the Board of the Thelma B Pittman Jupiter Preschool serving as Marketing Director. Also, he served on the Sea Colony Advisory Board for the Lake Homes.
Engaged with his alma mater, Jim was a trustee for the Northern Michigan University Foundation Board from 2012-2017, and served as Chair of the Finance and Investment Committee for 4 years. During his tenure, Jim was able to leverage his professional expertise to serve the university’s interest.
Jim holds a BS in Business Administration and Accounting from Northern Michigan University, a CBA Graduate degree from the University of Virginia’s School of Retail Bank Management, and had his FINRA Series 27 License as a Financial and Operations Principal while working at JP Morgan Chase.
Jim has resided in Northern Palm Beach County with his wife, Kimberly, and son, William, for eight years after relocating to the area from Chicago, Illinois. Kimberly was a 9th grade teacher at Palm Beach Lakes High School, and is currently the president of the Republican Club of the Palm Beaches and St Mary's Medical Center Foundation. When William is not focused on 7th grade academic pursuits, he is taking lessons at the Palm Beach Sailing Club, and plays volleyball and basketball. The family adopted their dog, Piper Laurie, from Furry Friends and love enjoying everything our area has to offer together.
